Investors in Families Award at Pengeulan Primary School

Investors in Families (IIF) is a quality mark that recognises the work that schools and other settings undertake with families to improve outcomes for children and young people.

The quality mark is awarded to schools and other settings that demonstrate a commitment to working with families and evidence of the activities that demonstrate close working with families.

IIF Wales is a national scheme, with national standards, that is accredited locally. There are 7 Core Aims:

• Flying start
• Education, training & learning opportunities
• Best possible health & free from abuse, victimisation & exploitation
• Play, leisure, sporting & cultural activities
• Being listened to, treated with respect and race & culture recognised
• Safe community & home which supports physical and emotional wellbeing
• Not disadvantaged by poverty

On 7th July 2023, We are very pleased to announce we have received our Investors in Families Award, Sapphire Level. The morning was a positive celebration of the quality family and community work that is within our school.  School leaders, Governors, Families and Staff were all involved in the process and enhanced a wonderful morning. Family and Community Engagement is embedded in the school and it is evident that the school has worked hard on its journey towards excellence. Miss Davies, who is our Family Engagement Officer is now working towards achieving the Silver Award.  

On March 13th, 2025, we are thrilled to announce that Pengeulan has been awarded the Silver Accreditation. This recognition highlights our ongoing commitment to engaging families, promoting social inclusion, and fostering strong school-community partnerships. We are extremely proud of this achievement, as it reflects the dedication and support we continually strive to offer to our families and pupils. Miss Davies, our Family Engagement Officer,  will now be working towards her Gold Accreditation.
